This book does not have any of the calculations you will need for the test. The calculations are weighted higher then a majority of the other questions on the PTCB test. This has an abundance of laws, but I would pay a little more for another book with a little more information

I am a Pharm.D. and former faculty member of a major School of Pharmacy, I've taught both "Pharmacy Technician Training Program" and "Math for Nurses" at the Community College level.

I did like reading it but it does have missing information.This is like a basic beginners book. I would go with something with a lot more detail but not a book filled with so much info on one subject. It's a 90 question exam. Know your math guys and do flashcards! I took the exam and did not pass it because of math.

I started teaching myself to be a pharmacy tech from scratch and this book was awesome. It made learning a lot easier.

I liked how each chapter presents applied and practical information .Key concepts and terms are carefully explained.Clear ,concise and practical coverage of all the topics and detailed description of the pharmacology section.I also liked the comprehensive review that goes into detail to cover all of the content likely to appear on the exam.I used this book to study for PTCB exam.
