I accidentally came upon this book when I was looking for a specific copy of Alice in Wonderland. I thought, "Oh, this is something." I saw a lot of the reviews where people were complaining and rolled my eyes. Of course, it's going to be different. If you don't want to read something, don't read it? The only justification I can reasonably see for leaving reviews and marking them as "never gonna read" or writing poor reviews if it was something harmful rather than something they disagreed with. That said, I actually enjoyed this book. It was bizarre and funny, just like the real Wonderland. The breaking of the wall, where they were aware of them being in a parody book was hilarious. I'm not sure if the intent of the book was to be hilarious, but it was. It was not something that was just sex for the sake of it, but it was about a journey of a young woman finding herself sexually.
One of the best things about fairy tale retellings is the many possibilities that a writer has to take what is familiar and use them to create something different. And with the popularity of erotica, it stands as no surprise that erotic retelling of fairy tales are popping up (no pun intended). With that said 50 Shades of Alice in Wonderland provides an erotic retelling of Alice’s journey in Wonderland with a blend of Wonderland quirkiness. This may be a short story, but it manages to pack in a lot of erotic action. There’s a variety of kink in the story including BDSM, threesome, voyeurism, and exhibitionism. Through all the sex, at the core of the story is Alice (playing the familiar role of the sexually dissatisfied female who’s unaware of her true sexual desires) discovering her sexuality. As she engages in sexual acts with a variety of characters in Wonderland such as Caterpillar, Hatter, and the Red Queen, she gradually learns to not fear her own body and to take control of what she wants sexually to help her with her own love life with her boyfriend Lewis (who makes the 1 minute lover look like Cassanova).Of course you can’t have a story involving Wonderland, even an erotica story, without some strangeness and humor. And considering the type of book it is, the bizarre nature of Wonderland and its inhabitants center around sex. I was expecting to have more humor than what was in the story. The majority of the wackiness was found towards the latter half of the book. What was there was funny and strange hence why I wanted a little more of it in the story. But I guess too much humor can take the sexiness out of the story. If you’re looking for a short story that packs quite a sexual punch with a sprinkle of weirdness, then this book is for you. It’s a fun and sexy short read that in some ways is actually a little more edgy than the original FSOG. The writing was well done which includes the sex scenes. It also didn’t take itself seriously especially since it didn’t hesitate to mock itself. This is definitely not your mother’s Disney Alice in Wonderland.
A retelling of Alice in Wonderland including oral, vaginal , DP, and anal sex. Also use of bondage, spanking chair, cross, sex swing, dildos and rabbit vibrators! With a lot of role play.
The title of the book drew me in. I started with the sample and ended up purchasing the book because of curiousity. It was an easy read. And had an interesting concept. I liked the way the characters from the original book were integrated into this story. Not in a way that would make me say that would ruin the original story for me, but in a fun way that seemed to take the original characters personalities into consideration. What I did have a problem with was the character's ease at exploration into different areas of erotic behaviors. It was somewhat unrealistic even with her being in Wonderland. Going from a person who was unfamiliar and uncomfortable with her own body, to having a threesome and more in one day was a bit much for me believe. (blame it on the drink me potion I guess)Over all it was a fun book. I would love to read some of Ms Dunchamps other work, non-Wonderland related.
I no longer recall how or why I acquired my copy of this naughty little gem, but it will remain in my Kindle long after others have been deleted. This bright, sassy tongue-in-cheek (among other places) romp had me giggling far more than titillated, but was definitely worth the trip down the rabbit hole! Lots of sly references, asides and broken 4th walls kept me firmly in the author's viewpoint and I will be on the lookout for any other of her work I can find.Don't get this if you are expecting "serious" soft-core - this is a trippy, moderately erotic and delectable trifle with plenty of whipped cream ;-)
I loved this version of the story. I find it great Amazon was mentioned a few times. The story teller had a beautiful accent, the story it’s self was playful and erotic all at the same time. If you enjoy erotica you will like this. Sense of humor helpful.
Sorry this was not for me...just plain old silly. I tried... but couldn't finish it...what was all that being tied up about?, the clothes, and I agree with Pillar, who drinks something and not know what it is or where they are for that matter? I understood the reason why she was unhappy but how the problem was solved just didn't make sense to me.
I personally didnt care for the story line, and never finished the book. But if you like this kinda book give it a try!
