I’m a beginning quilter. I have 50 years of fashion sewing experience. (Did I just admit that??) Quilting is different and figuring out how much fabric is needed can be difficult. This book has excellent charts that I will use very frequently.
This tiny 36 page pocket sized pamphlet can be carried around in your purse, has every size and outcome related to quilting fabric in pages of color coded lists. Price is OK. For a bit more money you can add the All in one Quilters Reference Tool by Hargrave, Craig, Anderson & Aneloski which is also very user friendly.
I wanted simple mathematics on this but it’s not so. This is for someone who’s been doing this for years, not someone new to quilting. When you’re new to quilting, you just want to know how many blocks to make a certain quilt whether you’re doing 5x5’s for a twin comforter or 10x10 blocks for a King. But no, not this one. This one is very confusing and I’ll tell you, I learned a lot more on YouTube than this
I carry this with me- always.... very handy- it's nice not having to figure out the math....

This is a great little book. Has tons of measuring info in it and would slip I to any bag to take along with you for group projects or the store to purchase needed items. I hate figuring out the measurements. Who does? I like to breeze by that and get to cutting and sewing and quilting. This perfect for that purpose.
